Papers, 1861-1872.

Photocopies of documents of Albert Waugh of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; and copies of 1868 letters from Waugh's courtship of Lana Beeler, and of letters written to a friend, Ernst Lohmann. These latter letters were written while Waugh served in Company H, 1st Wisconsin Infantry Regiment, in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama (1861-1863); and after his discharge (1864-1867); they comment on the politics and economics of the times to Ernst, who had returned to Germany.
